Unpopular opinion: we should all wear masks as much as possible. Forever.

  1. Immuno compromised people were in danger long before 2019. How many people could we have saved, just by masking?
  2. Seriously. Disabled people deserve to live without fear.
  3. We never know if we’re carrying a disease or not, since most symptoms only show up after we’re contagious.
  4. Very useful in a world with cameras everywhere.
  5. Even if your masking is not perfect, it is still better than nothing. Every step, even the smallest ones, is another layer of protection for immuno compromised people.
  6. Wouldn’t it feel good to save a life by doing something so simple?

Thank you and goodnight!

Edit: this is about all mask preventable disease, not just covid.

You know what’s very specifically infuriating about MK? But more about Miles?

After more or less 10 years, in which, they spent over half of them being the main voices in the writer’s room since Monty’s passing, they STILL dare to pull the “Oopsie, sorry guys we’re still learning about how to write our own show, and we made boo boo again, please be patient :3”

And their stans still buy that shit up!! 😬😬

And I don’t understand why people keep giving them leeway, as if they don’t know how to be writers, because just we’re clear, I have problems believing this was EVER true, even during the first 2 volumes. They weren’t amateurs or recently graduated or anything, they had been working for YEARS in RvB, there’s a world of difference between being unfamiliar on how to write for a certain genre, and not being able to write, period.

They kept pulling shit like “we had no idea how to do x”, specially about the ship teasing and the queerbaiting, and I believe them, because I’m not saying they are evil masterminds or something either, that would be giving them way too much credit, I’m mostly talking about that saying of how suficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice.

They are incompetent writers, to the point of being downright malicious and sometimes even hilarious. And whether they themselves are aware of that or not, they pretty much keep pulling the same incompetency excuse, when people point out rvbby’s writing flaws, and then turn around and repeat them :/

Why do fans keep giving them leeway despite 10 years of incompetency?

I see posts go by periodically about how modern audiences are impatient or unwilling to trust the creator. And I agree that that’s true. What the posts almost never mention, though, is that this didn’t happen in a vacuum. Audiences have had their patience and trust beaten out of them by the popular media of the past few decades.

J J Abrams is famous for making stories that raise questions he never figures out how to answer. He’s also the guy with some weird story about a present he never opened and how that’s better than presents you open–failing to see that there’s a difference between choosing not to open a present and being forbidden from opening one.

You’ve got lengthy media franchises where installments undo character development or satisfying resolutions from previous installments. Worse, there are media franchises with “trilogies” that are weird slap fights between the makers of each installment.

You’ve got wildly popular TV shows that end so poorly and unsatisfyingly that no one speaks of them again.

On top of that, a lot of the media actively punishes people for engaging thoughtfully with it. Creators panic and change their stories if the audience properly reacts to foreshadowing. Emotional parts of storytelling are trampled by jokes. Shocking the audience has become the go to, rather than providing a solid story.

Of course audiences have gotten cynical and untrusting! Of course they’re unwilling to form their own expectations of what’s coming! Of course they make the worst assumptions based on what’s in front of them! The media they’ve been consuming has trained them well.

Can all the tumblr homosexuals agree to stop buying chick fil a. It’s so depressing that across the board lgbt people and supporters are indifferent to chick fil a and feel fine buying it. Can we at least stigmatize it here

For those who actually like chick fil a sauce and refuse to boycott because of that:

It’s ranch dressing, honey mustard, and barbecue sauce. Now free yourself

Fuck Chick-fil-A. That homophobic chicken isn’t even that good, y'all are literally simping over chicken that tastes like it was made at a White cookout

The sauce:

The chicken (deep fried):

Air fryer version:

Fresh lemonade:

Lemonade milkshake:

Whatever thing you love at chikfila you can make yourself fairly trivially (if! you are able to cook! which I know not everyone can).

Simply look for a “copycat recipe” for the item, eg, “chikfila copycat chicken recipe.”

There are literally thousands of extremely dedicated food bloggers out there who have long ago perfected there at home versions of stuff.

Chik Fil A contributes to groups who think trans people should be forcibly sterilised

No chicken is that fucking good

Miles Luna: Oh man if we just had known how shipping works we would have not totally unintentionally baited people with multiple ships for popularity and clicks. We totally did not mean to its such a new never before done thing.

Also Miles Luna, during v2: So we added this scene in food fight where Ruby holds Weiss solely to target shippers. You know how that amps them up. Also we are adding an entire team originally intended as possible LIs because we are scared of wlw shipping going on. But also shipname team attacks and queerbait!

Okay but this is serious, I work in retail and I had a lady come up and ask for 2 $500 Google play gift cards. We have been trained to look for these scams and to warn the customers NEVER give the card numbers over the phone unless you have met this person face to face. I told the lady this and she started crying, saying they were the IRS and that if she hung up they would call the police and have her arrested. They wanted to keep her on the phone so she couldn’t call her husband, who was more aware of how the IRS works. I was able to convince her to hang up and call the police on *them* instead, and saved her $500.

Scams are serious, people lose a lot of money and older people are targeted the worst because they’re easy targets.

First of all, the IRS will *never* call you and ask for money, and they definitely won’t call the cops on you. They’ll get your money if they really want it through taxes.

But now they’re trying to target our generation using crypto, which is super hard to trace if the money gets lost. So they’re getting smarter, and they’ll use whatever they can to get you to give them money.

What you really need to know or take away from this is: NEVER, and I mean EVER, buy a gift card and give the barcode number on the back to someone over the phone. It is ALWAYS, 100%, a scam!

Please be safe and hang up on these fuckers the second they ask you to buy a gift card.

there’s a guy on twitch and youtube that calls these scammers to lead them on and waste their time, kitboga. more people also do it but this is the guy I’ve watched

he’ll describe the scammer’s tactics as they use them, especially in his youtube videos, and he says he does it because his parents got scammed, and when you’re old sometimes you have to rely on people over the phone because of things like dementia

treating them like they’re dumb does them a disservice and makes you more likely to fall for it because “I would never fall for a scam like this!” leaving you unprepared for the anxiety and fear these scammers can induce in you!
